Rehabilitation Services

The Union and Chatuge Outpatient Rehabilitation Centers are committed to delivering quality care to their patients and clients they serve in an effective, efficient and compassionate manner. Both Rehabitlitation Centers include the following:

  • Speech Therapy
  • Physical Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy

These centers are fully-staffed to provide treatment in physical, occupational, and speech therapy to outpatients, inpatients, and nursing home residents.  Our therapists specialize in Sports Medicine/Orthopedics, Neurologic Conditions (spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury and stroke), Balance and Vestibular issues, Swallowing and Speech Dysfunction, Pediatric Developmental issues even Post Amputation Rehabilitation.

To meet the needs of our surrounding communities, our rehabilitation teams are always expanding the techniques they use to offer the best care possible. From Electromyography (EMG) and Nerve Conduction studies, Dry Needling, Aquatic Therapy, Modified Barium Swallow studies and Vital-Stim Therapy, our staff provides you with the top-of-the-line care you deserve right here at home.

All therapists are licensed by the state of Georgia with maintenance of licenses and certifications completed through extensive continuing education.  All therapists are qualified providers of care for disorders affecting movement, function, speech, and swallowing and can effectively treat musculoskeletal pain in any area of the body.

The Rehab Centers employ manual techniques, therapeutic exercises and activities, and therapeutic modalities including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and mechanical traction as part of a comprehensive treatment plan to improve function with emphasis on specific areas of deficiency including strength, range of motion, balance, stamina, speech, swallowing, and ability to perform normal activities.

Additionally offered is instruction in general wellness as part of our global approach to improving health, fitness, and function.
