Lab Services

Union General Hospital and Chatuge Regional Hospital both provide full service clinical lab services, including routine lab tests and transfusion services. The lab is stocked with state of the art analytical equipment and a highly trained staff of Medical Technologists, Medical Lab Technicians, and Phlebotomists. The Laboratory performs a wide array of services, including:

• Specimen collection
• Analytical & serologic testing

Certain specialty tests must be sent out for processing and results, and of course, those take longer to return.  Results are returned to the lab and sent to the patient's doctor.

The laboratory cannot release information to patients about their lab test results.  Patients must contact their doctor for all lab results.
