Benjamin Harris, MD

Dr. Harris grew up in Southeast Texas. He attended Texas A&M University receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Science in 1993. He then attended Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock Texas where he received his doctorate of medicine degree in 1998.

From Texas Dr. Harris then moved to Wichita Kansas where he attended his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Upon completion of his residency in 2002 he returned to Texas and practiced for four years.

The mountains of Georgia called to Dr. Harris and his family and he moved to Blue Ridge to begin his practice in 2007. He joined Union General Women’s Health in May 2018.

When not delivering babies at the hospital Dr. Harris enjoys photography, traveling, attempting woodworking projects and spending time with his two children.
