Christy Collins, NP-C

Christy Collins grew up right here in Blairsville. She attended Young Harris College for two years, and then completed her bachelor's degree at Brenau University. She worked at Gwinnett Medical Center for two years as an Ortho-Neuro nurse. After moving back to Blairsville, she worked for twelve years in the operating room at Union General Hospital, with the last five of those years serving as operating room manager and first assistant in surgery. 

In 2007, Christy graduated with honors from Brenau University with a master's degree and became a nurse practitioner. She continued working in the operating room at Union General Hospital, as well as serving the local community while working in urgent care. 

In 2010, Christy joined Women's Health of Blairsville now Union General Women's Health. 

Christy performs obstetrical sick visits, gynecological exams, colposcopies, post-partum care, office procedures, and assists Dr. Davis and Dr. Mercer in the operating room. She is a certified ASCCP colposcopist, and attends conferences annually to maintain knowledge of current guidelines for abnormal pap smears. 

Christy resides in Blairsville, GA and has three children. She enjoys horseback riding, kayaking, spending time with her family and her dogs, Leah and Harley, and has a passion for photography and scuba diving.
